Busy Busy Busy

Life has gotten a little more chaotic now that summer is over. I have been student teaching for 2 weeks now and Brett just started school this week. I am really liking my student teaching so far. I think I will like it more when I have more control and get to do what I want. Right now I just obseve part of the time and teach some. It sure is tiring though, but I have to make it to the end :) i am counting down the weeks... 12 more! Since I am student teaching I won't be thinking about the baby as much which is kind of sad but at the same time it will keep my mind off of just wanting her to be here with us. This time I am hoping she does not come a day early beacause of my student teaching... a few days late would actually be nice. Brett is starting to get busy with his school work. He is taking a few pretty hard classes that will take quite a bit of time and effort, but I know he can do it. Little Avery is still growing like a weed and we love her. She has to go to a babysitter everyday so it is a good thing we have great people who are willing to watch her. I miss spending everyday with her now and wish I would have cherished the summer a little more. But soon enough I will get to be home more with her again... only 12 more weeks. I keep telling myself that it is worth it and i know it is but it is hard. I love my family so much! They are everything to me and nothing makes me happier. She is so darn cute!

3 Wonderful Years

Three years ago I was sealed for time and all eternity to Brett. I love him so much. We had our 3rd anniversary on the 25th. We have loved the past three years together and look forward to the many more to come. I love this man! He is so wonderful to me.

For our anniversary Brett suprised me with beautiful roses and this table that we found at the D.I. and I mentioned that I liked it a while ago but decided that we didn't need it. Later he went back and got it, sanded it all down, and refinished it for me. It looks so much better now than what it first looked like when we found it. I love it! Thank you so much hun!

My little girl

Avery is getting bigger and bigger everyday. I just have a few more pictures and a couple videos I want to share. I know I have said this before but I am so excited to have our new little one becasue Avery is so into babies. I am excited to see how she is with her little sister. This is our neighbors little boy and Avery. I was funny because she wanted to hold him for a few seconds then she would say "mommy hold him now" and then she would get up and come back two seconds later ready to hold him again. Here she is pointing out his hair.

I think that this is a funny picture becasue this is what Avery wanted to wear to church but she is disappointed and whinning because I told her she couldn't wear her hat and gloves to church. There have been many days this summer that she has even wore her snow boots out becasue she loves to pick out the shoes that she wears and if it doesn't really matter I don't fight it.

These are some videos of Avery so you can see her fun personality. Enjoy! :)

Avery loves to dance and just learned how to do somersalts all by herself. She did them for probably about 10 minutes straight.

Summer Vacation

We had our big vacation for the summer just recently. It wasn't too long but it was fun to get away for about a week. Unfortunaltly I didn't take hardly any pictures. We went to Washington for Brett's cousins reception. On the way there we stopped in Burley for a night and spent the evening at the fair. It was fun to show Avery the pigs becasue I used to do them in 4-H. Grandpa helped her pet Andrea's pig. We got to spend some time just hanging out with Brett's family. It was really fun to get to go and relax a bit. Avery had lots of fun playing with Peyton. We went swimming a couple of days and went shopping and the guys all got to go golfing. The reception we went for was beautiful and Brandon and Andrea looked so cute together. Overall I was a fun little vacation from our everyday life.

Avery loves to swim! I am so happy that she does becasue I love it too! :)

Fun Week

We had a fun week together. I love when Brett wants to take us golfing with him every once in a while. Avery and I walked the course with him. Avery was funny. Every time he hit the ball she would say "I see it, I see it" and after he would make it she would say "yeah dad." She had fun going golfing with her dad. It was hot but she still had fun!
Then this weekend we went on an elder's quorum camp out with our ward. it wasn't very far away at all but it was fun to go camping again. We also got to fish for the first time this summer. Brett caught 11 bass. I only got to cast a few times because I was trying to watch Avery so she didn't fall in the water and it seemed like every time I did cast I caught seaweed anyways, but Brett let me reel in one of the fish he caught. I guess I am just not that great of a fisher.

Brett's first fish he caught. We went fishing in the evening and then in the morning again. Brett got eaten alive by mosquitoes (24 bites). Luckily I only got a few and Avery didn't get any.
Brett taught Avery how to fish. She liked holding the pole and reeling in the line. When he would catch a fish though, she only liked it from a distance. It would scare her when they would flop around a lot.
I love these pictures! Brett is so good with his little girl!

What a Hunk!
They also had a charity fundraiser thing in the park in Rexburg this weekend to help raise money for Rett Syndrome. We didn't really know a lot about it but I guess it is a disorder of the nervous system that leads to developmental reversals, especially in the areas of expressive language and hand use. They had posters up about it and it also mainly affects girls. They had a silent action, 3 on 3 volleyball tournament, and a dinner to raise money. They also just had all these inflatable jumping things to play on so we took Avery and she loved it! She probably would have jumped in there all day but I got tired. :)

A Mess in the Kitchen

So I was telling some friends this story and they said I should blog about it. I decided that this would be a funny story to remember so here it goes. Avery tells us after she goes poo or pee sometimes so we decided that it might be time to get her her own potty chair. Avery likes to sit on her potty. I haven't been pushing it too much I just let her when she wants to. Well the other day she was sitting on her potty and I told her that if she would go poo or pee in the potty she could have some m&ms. She sat there for probably about ten minutes until she decided that she was done. She got up quick and ran in to the kitchen. I was saying "Avery come back here. If you are done we need to put a diaper on you." but of course she wouldn't. So I went out to get her and she was squatting down on the kitchen floor taking a dump. Then she kept saying m&m, m&m. She thought that she deserved one for going poo, but unfortunatley I told her that she didn't do it in the potty so she couldn't have one. She wasn't very happy about that. All I could do was laugh... after all it was pretty funny. Well we will keep trying I am sure there are going to be many more messes to clean up in the future :)

Can never share too many pictures of Avery

I love to share pictures of our little girl because she is our world. She brings so much joy into our lives and we love her so much. We are so grateful for this healthy happy little girl.
Some of the little things Avery does make me laugh... This is just where and how she wanted to watch her movie.
Avery had her notebook and a pen and she was sitting on our bed. She wanted to color so I told her just do not color on the bed which she didn't, but when I checked on her a few minutes later she had colored all over her legs. It's hard to see in this picture, but I thought it was kind of funny.
We babysat our neighbors little girl again and I love this picture because Avery loves babies so much. She was just checking on her while she was sleeping. It is going to be so fun when little Oakley joins our family. Avery is going to be such a good big sister to her.
I just love this big cheese too! She is a very happy little girl!

The Big 23!

Well I am getting older... i turned 23 this last Saturday. We had a really fun day though. I got too spoiled this year. Brett got me a couple of new cricut cartridges for scrapbooking that I have really wanted and Avery, ;), got me a darling willow tree figurine. So many others did things for me and got me things too. My family and friends were too good to me. Thanks everyone!!! I had a really fun day spending it with Brett and Avery and some other family and friends. We had a great time. We went to this pond that a family in our ward owns and played for a couple hours in the afternoon. They are so kind to let people come and play there. It is an awesome yard that they have. It is what I really wanted to do because I have been wanting to go swimming this summer but we haven't gotten to go much because there isn't really a place to swim in Rexburg. Then that night we went to a figure eight racing here in Rexburg with our friends Celeste and Blake. It is kind of like a demolition derby type thing. It was pretty funny to watch. We enjoyed it. Here are some pictures of us playing at the pond...

This pond has so much fun stuff. They have a rope swing which we are playing on here. The first picture is me and the second one is Michelle, Brett's little sister.

We took Avery out on this big trampoline and slide thing.
This is Brett at the top of the zip line ready to zip down.

and me.
One of my best friends, Celeste, and Avery swinging in the bath tub swing. I think this is such an awesome swing.
Brett and Travis jumping on the tramp and down the slide.
Avery likes riding in their pedal boat.
Some of the most awesome girls I know. Love you guys! Thanks for coming and playing with me!
Thanks again everyone! I had a great day!!!

Avery and Trevor

Aren't these first two pictures so cute? For Pioneer Day weekend Ryan, Brett's brother, and his wife Rachel came to visit us. There little boy, Trevor, and Avery had lots of fun playing together. This is at the mall and we told Avery and him to hold hands and Avery grabbed his hand and wasn't letting go and they ran around the mall together. It was so cute. The boys went golfing while we had fun shopping. Golfing has become Brett's new favorite summertime hobby. He loves to go and would go every day if he could. While they were staying with us we also went to the pioneer days parade in St. Anthony and just had fun hanging out and letting the kids play at the park.

They have a carousel at the park in Rexburg. It was Avery's first time riding it and she seemed to really like it. She didn't really smile real big or anything; just sat there and enjoyed the ride, but i know she liked it because we were at the park yesterday and she said to me "ride the horse, ride the horse" so we will have to take her again.
My little girl is getting to be so BIG! I can not believe that she will be 2 in October. Time Flies!

Camping!

This past weekend we took our first camping trip of the summer. The summer has seemed like it has just flown by. I really wanted to get to go camping and we did. We had lots of fun. It was a pretty quick little trip but we enjoyed it. My brother, Stephen, and his wife Lindsay went camping with us. We went to Heise Hot Springs, which is only about 20 minutes from Rexburg. We had never been there before so it was fun to go. They have nice shaded camp areas, a golf course (which sold Brett on going there), and the pools. It was the first camping trip that I planned and had to remember all the food and everything because every other time we have gone camping together we have gone on trips with our whole families that our wonderful parents planned. I did good though. I didn't forget anything too important :) We decided that maybe Avery could try her own sleeping bag this year so we got one for her and she loved to play in it. She kind of slept in it, but of course she ended up sleeping between Brett and I.
The joys of being a kid. You can just sit and eat cheetos while the parents set up camp :)

Steve and Linds making some smores

Avery got so tired during swimming she just passed out on the deck and slept for a little while.

These are just a few other fun recent picture...

I got my hair colored and went a little darker this time but there is still a lot of blonde in it. I really like it.
One morning Avery and I made Orange Julius. She had fun drinking it :)
