Moved

Well we are here in Washington now. We have been here almost a week. Moving was harder than I thought it would be. I have cried a lot and not because I am unhappy it is just because we have been in Rexburg so long and I will miss my home there and all my friends and my family. I guess it is just hard to start out new in a place that you have never known. I am grateful for my mom and sisters who let me call and talk to them and make me feel better :). But on another note, good things have happened for us since we have been here... Brett found a job working at a Physical Therapy office which is just what he wants and needs to get hours in at so that he can apply to physical therapy assistant school. We don't know when he will start that yet but we do know that is something we want to do. We are very grateful for Brett's parents and letting us stay in their home until we can get out feet under us. We feel blessed and are grateful for the Lord's hand in our lives. We didn't get Christmas cards sent out this year because it has been a little crazy but we hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas!!!

Chirstmas Party

Us and our friends got all together one last time before we move. I planned a minute to win it Christmas party. It was really fun. We played a few games had a white elephant gift exchange and those that could find some wore ugly sweaters (they are harder to come by then you may think). We are excited to move but we will miss our friends! Here are a few pictures from our party of the things we did.
This is the try to get your Rudolph nose on your Vaseline covered nose game in a minute game.
This is the get the ornaments on the string without using your hands in a minute game.

This is the get the cookie from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands in a minute game.

This is the stack all the cup using one hand in a minute game.
And in the white elephant gift exchange Travis picked my gift and got a couple of fish that the bum went and put in my apartment after the party before we got there. Lets just say the fish as a white elephant gift kind of back fired because I got suck with them anyways. Poor little things they already died too but the girls enjoyed them for a few days.
And here is just a picture of us. I will miss you all! Please keep in touch... good thing for blogs and facebook :)

Merry Christmas!

Oakley Turns One!

A year ago on the 30th of November we were blessed with our sweet little Oakley. We just celebrated her first birthday. We are so grateful to have her as a part of our lives. We love her so much. I can't believe how fast time flies and that she is already a year old. Here are a few pictures of this sweet girl through the past year.

And here is Oakley today. One year old and such a sweet little girl.
Avery loves her little sister... giving her some birthday love!
Unfortunately she had a nasty cold on her birthday and didn't feel the greatest but she was still happy for the most part.

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to
What is a birthday without balloons. My girls love balloons. It makes their special day so much more fun.
Avery showed her and helped her open her presents.

Julie and Travis gave her this cute hat.
I made her a cake of her very own to dig into.
She was so excited at first, but it took her a while to finally dig in and I expected her to dig in more than she even did because she LOVES food and loves to eat.

She actually started crying because she didn't like all the frosting caked all over her hands. It was kind of funny... plus the fact that she didn't feel her best.

Playing with some of her new toys.
This is an outfit that Brett and I got her and I think she just looks too cute! We love you so much Oakley. Happy Birthday!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we spent it at our home in Rexburg and our neighbors were here too so we decided to have dinner together. Makenna and I made a wonderful dinner. We rocked at our pie making. First time I made a pie without my moms help. They tasted wonderful! Our whole dinner was wonderful. I didn't take very many pictures at Thanksgiving this year sadly, but we had a great weekend. On Friday we went down to Burley and spent the weekend with my family. It was good to hang out with everyone that lives there and spend some time before we move to Washington. I love my parents and all of my siblings and their spouses. We have such a good time together. I want you all to know that I love you and I am so grateful for you all. Mom and Dad you have taught me so much. You have taught me how to be a good mom and wife. How to be a hard worker. You have taught me to go to church and make that a very important part of my life and have helped build my testimony since I was little. Summer you are such a good big sister and a great example to me in so many more ways than you think. Brian you make my sister happy and you can make us laugh. Peggy you are a hard worker and have been such a help to us while I was finishing school. Jon you're always interested in what we have going on and you just simply care. Nan, you are always there when I need to call and talk or cry or laugh. Greg you piss me off and make me laugh :) and you get along really well with Brett and I like that. Thayne and Stephen you were my best buds and worst enemies :) You taught me to be an athlete and always tried to help me practice even though I hated your constructive criticism when I was younger :). Linds you are one of my best friends! I love ya pro! Amber you are a good example to me of a how to be caring and kind. Andrea you are so fun. I love having you for a little sister. I love family and they are so important in my life and I love this time of season because it helps remind you of the REAL important things in life. Here are a few pictures that I did take over Thanksgiving.
Makenna and I with our pies!Avery was such a good helper

Hanging out with Dad
And I just think this picture is funny... Oakley riding the Barbie car. She is pretty funny if you are laying on the ground she will just come up and plop herself right down on you and it may even be straight flat on you face that she chooses to sit. She sits on everything and anything that is on the floor.
Avery had so much fun playing with her cousins in Burley. I love when she gets to play with them cuz she loves it and is so sad when she has to leave. We had a great Thanksgiving and hope that you did also.
