Baby Shower

My sister Peggy threw me a baby shower on the 9th. It was fun and good to see everyone. I am more and more excited to have the baby now. Thanks everyone for all the great gifts. We really appreciate it. These are just a few pictures from the shower. Brett's Mom made this blanket for the baby and also the blessing dress. I love them.

This is all of my sisters and me. I was so happy that they could all be there. My mom really surprised me with a awesome surprise. My sister Nancy is from Arizona and she wasn't going to be able to make it here, but my mom flew down there and drove her and her kids up for the shower and to be in Burley while we were there for the week so that I could spend so time with her. Thanks again Mom. My best friends from high school.

My in laws and I.

Update

Brett just finished school for the summer this last week! He did so good on all of his finals, he really studied hard. He is happy to be done with school for a little while. Brett is going to start a new job on Monday with a landscaping company and we are really excited. I am still just staying busy working and getting more and more excited for the baby to come. We have had another doctor's appointment and they say everything is looking good and the baby is growing like she should. Brett and I have been having a fun summer, going on bike rides, swimming, kind of camping, and eating lots of ice cream.

4th of July!

Brett and I were going to go watch the fireworks in Idaho Falls, but there were so many people there when we went at 8:30 that we just decided to keep going down to Blackfoot to watch the fireworks with my sister's family. We had a fun weekend we stayed the night in Blackfoot and my other sister's family and my parents came to Blackfoot on the 5th and we had a bbq and we swimming in this lake. It was way fun. The little lake is just a couple miles from Summer's house, we wish we had a fun lake that close to where we live because we would go everyday. Swimming is one of our favorite things to do together in the summer.
Summer, Brian, and there kids Briton Parker and Kaelee.
Brett is so cute. I love this boy so much!

Brett and I swimming across to go play on the rope swing just on the other side of the lake.
Parker was throwing rocks in the water to try to splash us.

This is Brett swinging on the rope. I did it too. It was fun but we didn't get very good pictures

Weekend in Burley!

We went to Burley this last weekend. We got to have a long weekend because I had work off and Brett skipped a couple days of school so we went down on Thursday and had lots of fun. It was so nice to get away from work and school. We went boating, Brett got to wakeboard but I didnt:( We hung out with some friends, hung out with my family, went swimming at the Burley pool, where I miss working at, went to the play my little sister was in, and went fishing. Here are some pictures of Brett and the fish he caught. They were just catching and releasing the fish. We went to Milner Dam with my brother Thayne, Amber and Makiah to fish. It was a hot day and my feet swelled up so much.
Trying to get the hook out of it's mouth.
This is the fish that Thayne caught on his first cast.
I am having so much fun too! It is so hot and I just want to jump in the river.

Big Belly

We went to another doctor's appointment yesterday. They said everything is looking perfect. We heard the heart beat again. I guess now I just get to get bigger and bigger and wait for her to come. I have found, even though I am not way big yet, that my stomach gets in the way sometimes. It is fun though. Brett and I are so excited for her to come. She kicks all the time and I have even seen my stomach move a little. Brett always tries to feel it when I say that she is kicking, but when he tries to feel her kicking my stomach she stops kicking. He has felt it a couple times though. I have been putting Avery's room together a little. I finished the shelf Brett made and hung it up. This is her room so far.

Air Show

This past weekend there was an airshow in Rexburg that Brett and I went to. My sister Summer and here family came down from Blackfoot for it also and then we all had a barbeque together. The air show was pretty cool. There were lots of awesome planes and some of them did some pretty cool tricks. My nephews Briton and Parker really enjoyed the planes. It was such a nice day and we both got a little sunburn, especially Brett, that he is now suffering from.
Briton and Parker really liked hanging out with their Uncle Brett this weekend.

Avery's Room

The bedding for the crib came today in the mail and I was so excited! I got it on ebay and I knew it was coming this week, but it came sooner then I thought so I was suprised. I love this crib bedding set and it will be so cute in her room.

She's Kicking...

I am pretty positive that I felt the baby kick me for the first time today. I was just sitting on the couch and I felt her kick my side. It's kind of a weird feeling and I wasn't sure what it was but it had to be her kicking me; in the ultrasound she would not stay still, she was moving all over the place. I have never felt this before so it is kind of crazy. It is awesome to feel her though. I am getting bigger everyday it seems. I am kind of excited for the big belly time. I am getting so excited to set up a room for her. This is the shelf Brett made for me. I have just been trying to decide if I should paint it or stain it. I also painted letters for her name, and I found the "baby" sign at the craft store. Having a little girl will be so fun.

BASEBALL

Brett started his baseball season for the summer. They had their second game today. He got to catch and he had a good game. He hit an awesome hit right inside the foul line that got him to third base. It was such a nice day to watch a baseball game.

It's a Girl!

We went to the doctor today and got to have an ultrasound to see the baby and we found out our baby is a girl. We are so excited. The ultrasound was so cool. I could not put the whole video on here becasue it was to long to load so here are just a couple pictures. We are going to name here Avery. She is about 12 oz and 10 inches long right now and they said everything looks good. I am so excited to start getting little girl stuff. I can't wait to make blankets for her and to paint the shelf Brett made for me for her room. I told Brett I wanted a shelf for her room and he suprised me with it last saturday and now that I know it is a girl I can paint it the color that I want. We are both so excited to have a little girl. This is a picture of her little hand
This picture is her head with her arm up across by her chin. And this is what I look like at 20 weeks. Half way there!

Salt Lake

The beginning of this last week Brett and I went to Salt Lake to go to our friends' wedding, Kreg and Tatiana, in the Salt Lake temple. We had lots of fun together. We got to go shopping, look around temple square, and see our friends get sealed where we did just about 8 months ago.

4.30.2008

Our 3rd doctor's appointment

We got to hear the heart beat again and everything is going well. They said that I am 16 weeks along today. We get to have the next ultrasound next month to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. I can not wait to find out. We are getting so excited.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Brett and I went to Provo last weekend with his family because his sister-in-law graduated for dental school and we had lots of fun while we were down there. We enjoyed the BYU vs. TCU baseball game. BYU lost but we don't really care we just had fun being there!

Brett was so into the game.

Fun

We went to Blackfoot last weekend to help my sister move and then we had lots of fun playing with my nephews and neices! We love spending time with family. It was such a nice day and we are so excited for the warm weather because we have been going out and playing catch and trying to play tennis together recently. We love going outside to do things together. We can't wait to go camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, and boating.

Brett is so good with kids! He was so good at teaching our nephew, Briton, how to catch and throw and baseball and playing basketball with him. He is going to be such a good Dad!

It was fun for Brett and I to play dunk ball.

Black Eye

Brett recently got a black eye. We'll just say it had something to do with an apple juice bottle, karate, and playing sardines. It swelled up so big in about 5 seconds. It was pretty bad. It's been about a week and it is finally starting to go away. The first picture was later the night it happened, and then the next morning, and then a few days later.

The heart beat...

Brett and I went to our second doctors appointment on Wednesday. We got to hear the heart beat and it was amazing. The doctor said everything sounds good and the baby is developing good. We are so happy. I am about 3 months along now and guess what Tayli my tummy looks a little chubby.

Snowboarding

Brett and I had so much fun this winter snowboarding. Brett is such a stud on his board. He can do lots stuff, but I can barely carve. He is teaching me though. I love it. I can't wait for more good snow next year (actually I can because I am now excited for summer and getting to go swimming). I won't be able to wakeboard this summer, but it will be fun to watch Brett.

Our Baby

I think that you have all heard from us already. We are so excited to have our first baby, but also pretty scared (I think that I am more scared than Brett though). This is our first ultrasound I just wanted you all to get to see our baby. We don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet. Our baby's only 2.33 cm long, just a little guy. The doctor said he moved quite a bit for only how far along we are. I am nine weeks along and I am due October 14th. I want a girl and Brett wants a boy, but of course we will both be happy with either. The arrow points at it's little heart beat first; then the circle next to it that the arrow points at I can't remember what the doctor called it but he said they don't know the purpose of it, but he's sure there is a purpose for it, but it will be gone by the next ultrasound. The baby is upside down in the video, but you can see it's little head and where it's arms and legs are starting to form. We couldn't believe how small it was and how we can already see that it looks like a baby.

Cold Rexburg

It has been so snowy this winter in Rexburg and has also been pretty cold, but we have been enjoying the snow. We went ice skating at the rink on campus just down from our new temple as you can see. We went to the open house for the temple and it is so beautiful. I haven't been in many different temples yet but this one is definetly one of my favorites. You can see the temple from anywhere in Rexburg.
