Father's Day

I know Father's Day was a few weeks ago but I am just now getting around to blogging about it. This Father's Day Brett got a grill! He was really excited to get to have lots of bbqs with friends. That is not the only time we use it though. It seems like Brett has been asking me almost every night what can I grill for dinner.... so of course I really like it too. He has made at least half the dinners since we have gotten it and that never really happened too often before :)

Well enough about the grill... I am so happy to have Brett in my life. He is such a good man. He is a very loving husband. He is so wonderful to me and I am so grateful for him. He is also such a great dad. Avery adores him. We love him very much! He is such a hunk!

New Babies

A couple of our really good friends have had babies in the past little while. It is so fun to get to hold newborn babies. It makes me want my baby to come now, although I really don't yet, I don't know how I am going to do it with two children. One child takes up all my time already, but there are crazy people out there like my mom who had seven. She is amazing. I love you Mom! These are our friends Andrew and Arianna, but to Avery they are both Anna :) (sorry Andrew). They had a little boy and named him Jacob. Our Friends Kreg and Tati also had a little boy about five weeks ago and he is so cute too. His name is Jett. I will have to get a cute picture with Avery and him sometime. We are so happy for our friends and their little families!

Avery loves her Daddy

These two are my most favorite people! I love them so much! Avery spent lots of time tonight decorating her Dad with stickers. At least they were boy stickers and not just a bunch of flowers and ponies.

Summer time Weather... Finally!

The other day we it got warm enough to fill Avery's pool and let her splash around in it. We were excited to finally have some decent weather. It has been so rainy lately and windy. She loves to play outside.

I also made these fun cute little summertime treats. We had a bbq with some friends the other night and I made these for it. They are jello orange slices. They are fun to make and so fun to eat. Avery really loved them. They were a big hit with my adult friends. I am sure they would be a even bigger hit with a bunch of little kids. All you do is cut an orange in half and dig out all the yummy insides and then fill it with jello and let it set; then cut them into slices later. I made it with normal jello and with jigglers. They both worked but the jiggler ones were more solid.

Getting to be so BIG!

We got Avery's toddler bed put all together and thought we would let her try to start sleeping in it. It is the third night and so far it is a big hit. Avery was so excited to have a new bed. We found it at the D.I. and Brett took it to work and got some help welding on the side rail so she won't fall out. The first night Avery crawled right in and went right to sleep; she even waited for me to come in and get her in the morning before she got out of bed. The second night wasn't so smooth. She mostly just didn't want to go to bed at all. I finally got her to lay down but I stayed in there by her side till she fell asleep. When I went to get her in the morning she had already had some toys out and one shoe on. Tonight she is in there and I haven't heard a peep; so far so good. :) And of course I always like to share some pictures, so enjoy!

She even got her own new big pillow.

I love this picture, even though her face is disgustingly dirty and she has bed head, because she is cheesing it so big.
These last two pictures are just fun recent pictures of my big girl.
(Rachel she is brushing her teeth :)
The kindest lady in our ward that used to watch Avery for me gave Avery this slide. She loves it. We usually just leave it outside, but it was a rainy day and Avery wanted to play :)

My Avery is Adorable

I just wanted to put a few recent pictures of Avery on here. She is getting so big and we think she is just so cute. She is so fun and we love her so much!

To bad she isn't smiling in this picture... (I guess it kind of looks like a smile, but it's not) she was getting mad at me for trying to take a cute picture of her and trying to get her to smile at the camera.
Avery just hanging out on the couch with dad watching him play xbox
We can't get rid of those binkys... just kidding she only gets them at nap and bed time and it was almost bed time in this picture... and of course she always has to have 2 binkys.
She likes corn on the cob and she actually does pretty well eating it too. I just thought that this was such a cute picture with her and that huge cob of corn :)

I love my job

I guess I wouldn't say I absolutely love my job and I want to have it for the rest of my life but for me right now in my life it is perfect. I work for a lady here in Rexburg and I clean her house, help take care of her 94 year old mom, and help her with her in home business. It is perfect becasue she also lets me bring Avery to work with me which is wonderful. Well this post is about her in home business. She preseves floral bouquets. I have worked for her for 2 years and I have always helped her dry the flowers and prep them for her to build the bouquet or floral arrangement, but recently she has been teaching me how to build them and has let me do quite a few. She says that I do a really good job (maybe it's becasue I have had a little bit of practice messing with flowers helping my mom with her wedding business and I have watched my big sis Summer). Here are a few of them that she has had me put together. This is my most recent floral arrangement I have put together. These were funeral flowers for someone. it's not put all together in the dome yet, but I think that it looks pretty darn good. :)

I love these type of flower wall hanging things that she does. I made this one that she also displays in her home.
This one is the first bouquet I did just for her to display in her house. It's not my favorite, but it is ok and it was my first one.

Babysitting

A couple weeks ago we got to babysit a couple different times for a couple different friends. Avery and I had lots of fun. This is our neighbors little girl, Ava. Avery was so good with her. She is going to be such a good big sister!

My sweet girl is getting so big!
We let Ava play with Avery's toy she had when she was little. Avery liked to play with it with her and make it sing for her.
Avery and Ava played together in the crib.
Such a good helper giving Ava her binki
Avery got a tent to play and hide in. This a just a cute picture I thought I would add in.
We also got to babysit, Tyler. He is just a little older then Avery. Avery and Tyler had fun playing in her kitchen together.

Another New Car

For those of you who may be thinking... wow they buy and sell cars quite often... it is true. This is our fourth vehicle we have purchased in less than three years. I have to say Brett gets it from his dad who also does this quite frequently :). The cars Brett always finds to buy are good cars but then he just wants something new, but he said that we will have these ones for a quite a while now. We still have our first car we purchased together, the Jetta, but were sad to sell the truck. We loved the truck but everything about it was just too expensive and now with another child on the way we have a better family vehicle. Check out our new Jeep! We really like it!

Family

I am making and selling these cute "family" blocks. These are the only ones I have made up so far but I am going to start making more. I am selling them for $25.00. Let me know if you are interested. They are an inch thick and the tallest letter stands about 7 1/2 inches tall.

I am hopefully going to start making and selling these darling little girl skirts too. We will see how much time I have for those though :)

Guess What...

WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!! We went to our first docotors appointment on the 22nd! We are excited to have another child and Avery is so into babies right now. It is so fun. Our neighbor has a baby and she loves it. She already points to my belly when we ask her where our baby is. The other day she was carrying around the ultrasound picture saying baby baby, and she always points to it where we have it hanging on the fridge and says baby. She is going to be such a good big sister. The baby is due on the 30th of November. The heart beat was 166 beats per minute and they said that everything looked good so far. It is so amazing to go into the doctor and get to see the ultrasound and the little heart beating. It is also amazing how something so small inside me can take so much of my energy. I have been feeling great but I have just been tired and I get bad headaches sometimes, but that was how I was with Avery too. We are hoping for a boy now but we will be very happy to be blessed with another little girl too. If we have a boy his name will be Easton, and if our baby is a girl her name will Oakley. Here is our little one at 8 weeks and one day...

Washington for the Break

We finished our Winter semester of school at BYU-I and then took off to Washington for the week break before Brett started school again. I am done with all of my classes here... now just student teaching is left. I am pretty nervous for that and hoping that the summer goes by real slow and then the fall flies by. In December I will be a college grad! :) Anyways on to our spring break trip... we drove over to Washington and we had a good time playing out in the warm weather. It was really nice there compared to how it had been in Rexburg. Avery had a ton of fun playing with Peyton, Brett's cousin, everyday while we were there. Here are just a few fun pictures I took of them playing together.

Avery loved getting to play outside everyday!
We went down by the river and feed the ducks one day and now Avery loves to say "quack quack." I think right now it is her favorite animal sound. She liked them until one very big goose came way to close then she just wanted me to hold her and kept saying "scary" for a few minutes until she got brave enough again to throw bread to them.

One reason we went to Washington was so that Brett could help his Dad put a sprinkler system in their yard. Brett has been working with a landscaping company so he is pretty good with that stuff. What was he thinking wanting to go help work on something this big during our break :) ... just kidding. He enjoyed it and enjoyed working with his Dad. They had a guy come in and trench their yard but they still had to cut through the tree roots and pull out giant boulders, and lay all the pipe and sprinklers and everything. By the time we had to go home it still wasn't all done. It is quite a big job. Hope the work is going well Mom and Dad!

Us girls got to pull out all the rocks so they didn't get pushed back in on the pipes.... we also got to just watch :)

My hunny is such a hard worker.

And here is just an Avery update. She is now the big 18 months old. We went to the doctor today and she weighs 19.15 pounds. She is pretty tiny but really tall. She is in the 2% for her weight and the 86% for her height. She is so fun and she loves to talk. She says so many words I don't think I could write them all on here because you would get bored of reading them. But on thing she loves to say is "stop it" which I taught her how to say... but not on purpose. She is learning so much everyday and she is always so busy and full of energy. I wish I had as much energy as she does. She is so fun. We love her.
