Growing Avery

It's almost been two weeks since Avery was born. We are both doing very well. She has changed so much since the day she was born and I have been healing very well. We went to the doctor again and they weighed Avery. She is now 7 lbs 1 oz. She usually wants to eat every three hours, but last night she slept for six hours with out waking up. I was so happy. It's fun but kind of tiring being a new mom. It's been great to have so much help. I can never get enough pictures of Avery. She is so adorable. So here are some more pictures that I wanted to share with you all. Happy Mom!
What a cute little smile :)
She does this a lot.

I love her so much, she is so fun to hold and cuddle.

Carving Pumpkins

We really wanted to go to a pumpkin patch and pick out pumpkins, but there really wasn't much left at the pumpkin patch so we just went and picked out pumpkins at Broulims. Brett and I had fun carving pumpkins; Avery didn't enjoy it so much, she just wanted to sleep. Brett carved the one on the left and I did the other one.

Yuck!
Brett carving away like a mad man.

Yeah, not so much fun for a newborn.

One Week

Avery is one week old today! It really doesn't feel like it, maybe because we were in the hospital for half of the week. She is so fun to have. We love to talk naps together and Brett loves to lay with her and hold her when he gets home from work. She is such a beautiful little girl. She is such a good baby. We are so grateful to have her in our lives.

Avery loves to sleep on her Daddy's chest

New Addition

Here are some pictures of our little Avery. We are home from the hospital now. She is 6 lbs 12 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. She is the most beautiful little girl. We are so grateful and so happy. I'm still recovering and will write more when I am feeling up to it.

Avery update...

I went to the doctor again today and he said I am dialated about 2 to 3 cm. I can't explain how excited, scared, nervous, anxious, and afraid I am. He said that he wouldn't be suprised if I go into labor with in the next couple of days. I just can't express how much I am grateful for the wonderful pregnancy I have had. Brett and I are so grateful that everything has gone so smoothly for us and Avery up to this point. Hopefully she comes in the next week; if not when I go to the doctor next wednesday they will set a date for me to have the baby. I will let you all know when it happens.

Almost Here

Well I am just a little less than 2 weeks away from my due date. I am ready or so I think right now. We are excited and I am anxious. The doctor said that nothing has really happened yet, but I'm hoping things will start to happen soon. I haven't even felt many contractions, but Avery moves around like crazy and sometimes you can see my whole stomach move, it's kind of cool. She only likes to move when I am relaxing. I feel great though and am way excited to see little Avery.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

Brett has been playing baseball and enjoying it. His team has won all 3 of their games they have had so far. Is team is pretty good. Brett usually plays center field but he likes to play a few other positions as well. He pitches and also plays catcher every once in a while. Here are a few pictures of him at some of his games so far.

What a stud!!!

26 days

I can not believe there are only 26 days left until Avery's due date, I guess I actually can but the past eight months have really gone by fast when I look back. I am getting more and more excited to have the baby. I am also getting more and more nervous the closer it gets. I think that Brett is nervous too but I know that he is excited to have her in our lives. We are excited to be parents and hope that we can be as good of parents as ours have been to us. I went to the doctor the other day and they said everything is going great. I am so grateful that the baby is growing so well and that I have been so healthy. People keep telling me that I don't look very big for being eight months pregnant, and I guess I don't compared to some other people, but I am also grateful for that because I can still do so much, even though my stomach does get in the way when I try to tie my shoes. I am still teaching P.E. at Burton Elemetary and I plan to keep teaching until October 2nd if everything goes as planned. Brett is working for the landscaping company still and he enjoys it mostly. He is really excited recently because he started baseball last week and he is coaching a team with his friend Kreg Schow. Their team is the Thunder and their first game is tomorrow. I am so excited to go watch. I really enjoy watching him play baseball and playing catch with him.

New Car...

Last weekend we got a ride to Orem and came home with this new car. Brett found it on KSL and we got a drive down to check it out to see if we liked it and we did so we got it and drove it home. We still have our Jetta too but we thought we should get another car soon for Brett to drive to work so that I don't have to take him early in the morning when we have the baby. We both like it, but Brett really likes it.

I have been trying to decide whether or not to cut my hair for the last couple of weeks but I finally decided to. Here is what it looks like.

Should've been a Cowboy...

We went to the rodeo with all of my family that was in Burley for the weekend. It was a fun rodeo. We really enjoy going. These are some of the bare back riders.

Steve and Makoa had fun yelling for the cowboys.
This is the wild cow ride. We really like to watch this at the fair. It is so funny. Guys get on teams of three and have to try to saddle a big steer and ride it trough two barrels. Brett wanted to do it this year but him, my brother stephen, and our brother in law Greg might do it next year if Greg can make it here. It would be so funny to watch them do this.
Brett and I had a lot of fun spending the week in Burley. We got to do lots of things and I got to teach swimming lessons at the pool for the week. I loved it and I miss teaching lessons so much so it was really fun to do for the week. We really liked getting away for the week, but we are now back in Rexburg at home and are going back to work tomorrow. I start teaching P.E. at Burton Elemetary here on Thursday. I am going to teach on Tuesdays and Thursdays up until I have the baby and then again when I am ready to go back.

Bass Fishing

Our friends, Kreg and Tatiana, took us out fishing with them on the river. They had fun fishing. They got tons of bites and Brett got one reeled in. The fish just kept getting of the hook becasue it wasn't big enough, but we all had fun being together. We were out on the river and watched the sunset. The river was so nice and beautiful.
I love spending time with Brett. He is so amazing and such a great husband. I can't believe we have been married for almost a year now. It has gone by so fast and we have had such good times being married to each other and getting to spend every day together.

Jack Ingram Concert

Jack Ingram came to the Cassia County fair this year. Brett and I went with our friends Kreg and Tatiana and my sisters Nancy and Andrea came along too. I was pretty fun. We just bought bleacher tickets, but Nancy and I made our way down to the floor right by his feet. It was so fun. Nancy was so funny to be with. No joke, she seriously got the whole crowd dancing and getting into it. Nancy got on some random guys shoulders and reached up and grabbed Jack Ingram's hand. It was so funny. We really had fun screaming and dancing.
