Playtime

Avery used to love the mat we got her to play under for Christmas and then she used to love the big toy we got her to sit in and play and now she wants nothing to do with them. She just likes to sit on the floor and play with all her toys. She sits so well now. She is getting so big and growing way to fast, but I love it. Brett and I love to see her do new things. She always keeps us entertained. Playing her piano. She plays the most beautiful songs.
She stills loves her froggy.

So sweet!

Carrots... Yum!

Avery had carrots for the first time yesterday. I don't think that she really likes rice cereal so we decided to try something else and it was a success. She likes it. Maybe now that she is eating more real food she might just sleep through the night... I wish. I guess we'll see.

Bowling

For one of my classes, adapted P.E., I had to go bowling 4 times out of the semester with some disabled kids that we got to teach P.E. to throughout the semester. It was fun. We played under the black light and I drew highlighter on myself; it glows under the black light. Brett wouldn't do it; he was a party pooper (just kidding, maybe his mom just taught him not to draw on his body and he was obedient) It's so cool, you should try it next time you go cosmic bowling.

Of course Brett won, but at least I broke 100. Woot Woot!

Murder Mystery Dinner

Brett and I got invited to go to a murder mystery dinner. We had never been to one before, but it was pretty fun. Brett had to dress up like a world war II pilot and I had to dress up like a seamstress. Do you like my pin cushion bracelet? I also made a bracelet out of little spools of thread, and I know the bright pink lip stick is ridiculous. I had to make the desert so I made a cheesecake it was good (thanks for the recipe tati). Avery also wanted to dress up while we were getting ready. Doesn't that hat look so good on her?

P.E., Kids, and BEARS oh my!

I was teaching P.E. to a first grade class today when one of the students came in and told me that his teacher said to bring all the class down to their classroom because there was a surprise. When we got there we saw a baby bear. One of the boy's dad works at Bear World and he helps raise and take care of the baby bears so he brought one in to show to the class. It was so awesome. I actually held a real bear!!! He was so small and such a cute little thing. He had way long claws.

StYLiN'

Brett, Avery and I went on a walk the other weekend when it was warm outside. Doesn't she look so stylish. She didn't even try to take her sun glasses off. She liked wearing them. She is just such an adorable little girl. I love her so much!

Toe Sucking Book Worm

Avery is so funny. She has found her toes and likes to suck on them. She sticks just about everything in her mouth. She is getting so fun and cute. Tonight it was so funny, I set one of my school papers on the love sac by her not thinking anything of it and i look at her a few seconds later and it was all crinkled, I had to pry it from her hands and she pretty much threw a tantrum. She was so mad at me for taking it from her so I quickly got her a different paper that didn't matter so much. I just thought it was so funny, in a way, how mad she got at me.Yummy Toes!
Avery loves her books especially that fish one. I try to read them to her but she just always grabs them from my hands and wants to hold them herself and put them in her mouth.

Daddy's Girl

Avery is just about 5 months old now. And it is so fun! She is getting such a cute and fun little personality. She really loves to play with her dad, and take naps with him. We love our little girl! Doesn't she look so cute in her Daddy's baseball hat.

I love having Brett and Avery in my life! :) I am so lucky and so happy!

Nap Time

I came home from class today to get Avery so Brett could go to work and this is what I found. I thought that it was so cute. I guess they were both pretty comfortable. Avery likes laying in her dad's arms. Brett is such a good dad. I love seeing him play with Avery. He can always make her laugh. We love you Brett!

Weekend in Utah

Brett, Avery and I went to Utah last weekend. We had a fun time. First we stopped at my friend Tayli's in Logan. She hadn't seen Avery yet and we hadn't seen them for a while so it was fun to go and hang out with Tayli and Jake. Thanks for letting us stay with you!
Then we made our way to Salt Lake to see Melanie. She is doing so much better and got to go home on Tuesday.

Melanie is such a cutie. She used to be so much bigger than Avery and now Avery is the bigger one by about one pound.

We got Melanie a little puppy and a balloon. I think that she liked the balloon better because it was so shiny.

Our last stop was in Provo for Brett's brother's baby boy's blessing. His name is Trevor Arthur Stephens. He was born on Feburary 17th so he is almost exactly four months younger than Avery. He is Avery's first cousin on Brett's side. He seemed so small compared to Avery when I held him, but Avery was once actually smaller than he is. She is growing so fast.

Avery is eating rice cereal now and she loves it. She is so funny. I don't know if she totally gets it yet. She tries to suck at the spoon when i bring it to her mouth rather than opening her mouth, but she is getting it more and more everytime. She likes to grab the spoon and help me bring it to her mouth. She is so cute. And of course she makes a big mess. I tried to load a video of her eating, but it wouldn't work so maybe I can try again another time.
