Winter Pictures

It was snowing lightly this morning and I thought it would be perfect to go out and take some winter pictures of the girls. I love how these pictures turned out. They are the cutest little things. These are my favorites of the ones I took. I am so grateful for my camera so I can take great pictures. I took a photography workshop just a couple months ago and now know how to use my camera the way it was meant to be used, in manual mode. I really hope that when we move to Washington I can get my photography business going. I think that I like taking pictures of children and families the best but I am still trying everything out to see. I have lots to learn still but it is a very fun hobby. Enjoy!

This one above and the one below are our favorites of Oakley and Avery.

Changes

Well we are getting closer and closer to Brett's graduation. This is exciting and scary for us because it means we have to move on and grow up a little more. We have worked hard and are so blessed to have to been able to both earn bachelor degrees. Brett has decided that he wants to do a little more school when he is done here and go to a Columbia Basin College in the Tri-Cities and do the x-ray technician program there. We both feel really good about it. He can apply for that in February. He has his bachelor in Exercise and Sports Science which can only help him with this program and having a bachelor degree and the education for this program will help him find a job as a x-ray technician in the future. I am scared to move to a new place. I have never lived out of Idaho and I love it here in Idaho. Washington is beautiful but it is just new to me and I have to make all new friends and I don't have my parents and siblings very close to me. Not to mention that I have only lived in towns where there are mostly just two main roads in town. Kennewick is much bigger and I am not going to want to go any where without Brett because I will be afraid to get lost, which I guess could be good because less trips to the store means less money spent :) I guess it is just a little scary to not know what exactly your plans are. I plan to substitute teach and maybe even find a teaching job while Brett does more school. Hopefully even I can get my photography thing to take off there in the Tri-Cities so I can be home with the girls more. I love Brett so much and support what he wants to do. We feel that this will be good for our family. I am excited for the changes to come in the future but I can't really express how scared and nervous I am for these changes also.

Happy Halloween

I love holidays! We had a very fun Halloween. I was kind of lame and didn't make my kids costumes and also we reused ones from previous years but they still fit and we were being cheap... I guess. But the girls still looked super cute and loved wearing their costumes and going trick or treating. We went to our ward Halloween party and even I dressed up for that one. I dressed as Lady gaga.
I also took my kids to a community trunk or treat here in Rexburg. I realized Oakley is horrible when it comes to candy because she loves it but doesn't like it so much when it is gone. My cute little kiddos.
Then on Sunday we carved pumpkins together as a family and made caramel popcorn. The girls just painted there pumpkins though. I tried to help Oakley paint hers with her fingers but after she tried to taste the paint and didn't like that so much she didn't want to paint anymore.
Avery painted her pumpkin a beautiful purple. Notice Oakley tasting the paint in the background.

Oakley had a blast playing with all my pumpkin guts though. It was a big mess by the time we were done, but oh well she was having fun :)
Me and my hardcore face trying to carve my pumpkin

Avery helped me. Isn't our pumpkin cute?
Brett decided to do a shaved pumpkin.
Brett and his Vampire pumpkin.
All of our fun pumpkins
Then of course on Halloween we had to do the actual trick or treating. Avery was shy at first but then she got used to it and didn't really want to stop.
Our cute little trick or treaters!

Earlier that day we the girls and I were making our weekly trip to the DI and a lady was there talking about these puppies she was trying to give away so we went and saw them after we were done trick or treating. They are such cute little puppies. Avery loved them and just kept holding them and playing with them. We wish we were able to take one because they were soooo CUTE and FREE! I can't wait till we can get a puppy of our own someday for the girls. I think every family needs a dog! Aren't those puppies so cute?

Hope that you all had a Happy Halloween!

Football in the Fall

Well since it is our last semester here at BYU-Idaho Brett thought he better take advantage of probably his last time getting to play competitive tackle football. He usually plays baseball but he wanted to try football this semester. I have enjoyed watching his games. He really enjoys playing and I have learned a lot more about football then really I ever cared to know :) Enjoy these pictures I took of him playing. Brett getting taken down after a good run
That is Brett with the ball leading to pack
He looks good in that uniform
What a Stud!

Well I have enjoyed watching him play and we have about 3 more weeks of football and then it will be over and I am not gonna say I won't be happy when he is done because I am excited for my husband to get to be home more :). Love you hun! Good luck at your next game!

Cute girls

These are a little old but I love these picture so I had to post them. When we went to Burley in September for Jack's blessing and I took these of the girls playing. All eating Apples from grandpa's apple tree. Yum! Chase about to grab a bite.

Avery turns 3!

Avery turned three on the 16th of October! She got to have her first party with friends. She had such a wonderful day. To start off the day she woke up to this...I could hear her on the monitor when she woke up and she was gasping and saying look at the balloons. It really made her morning! Then she started collecting them all.

Even though her head is down in this next picture you can see her smile and see how happy this made her. It was really cute to see her reaction.
Birthday girl with her birthday crown.
We had a mermaid party so I made her this simple little mermaid tail to wear.
Had to throw in a cute one of this little munchkin.
I made these little mermaids to go on the cupcakes.
Avery digging in to her cupcake. She mostly only likes the frosting. She blew out her candle as soon as I put it in front of her before we had even started singing to her and so I lit it again while we were singing and she blew it out as soon as it was lit again. I guess she got two wishes this year.
Avery's friend Eli helping her see the gift he got for her.
All the cute kiddos.... My mom came down too and brought my little sister, my sister in law Amber, and her two girls to come play but they weren't here yet. I didn't get any pictures of them playing, sad I didn't but Avery had fun playing with them all afternoon though. Thanks for coming and bringing Kiah and Mel to play Mom. Love you!
Avery and her friend Maisy playing with the play dough she got Avery.
Brett and I got Avery a hair stuff kit. She is such a girl right now we thought she would love it and she does! She is so into barbies and princesses and anything girly right now.
Michelle looks so hot in the background of this picture wearing Avery's birthday crown :)
Travis and Julie brought Avery a little mermaid doll and some puzzles.
Aunt Michelle made Avery this blanket and a little purse with some m&ms in it.
Avery had a very good birthday. Thank you everyone!!! I can't believe Avery is 3 now. That time has really gone by fast. We love this little girl so much!
