Thanksgiving in Washington

This year we went to Washington for Thanksgiving to spend it with Brett's family. We had a really good time. Thanks Mom and Dad! We got to spend time relaxing... just getting a break from school and work. We went and saw the movie The Blindside all together while Avery stayed and played with Peyton. It's a great movie. I definetly recommend. Brett got to watch lots of football and play basketball while the girls went thrift store shopping. Brett's Mom specializes in thift store shopping :) She always finds the best stuff. We also all went shopping on Black Friday, but we didn't get up early to go fight the crowds... there wasn't anything we were dieing to get. We had a good time just spending time as a family. Here's a few fun pictures from our stay in Washington...

Playin in the leaves while Grandpa tries to rake them up

Avery loves her Dad! She is so cute she will always come up to us and hug our legs now. It is so fun and so cute. I just love her!
Brett has a little cousin, Peyton, who lives right across the street from Brett's parents so him and Avery had a good time getting to play together while we were in Washington.

Avery's favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner was the corn and peas... She loves um :)

Weeeee!
Avery liked Grandma's swing. She got mad every time I took her out of it.

This is on the car ride home but believe me she was not this happy the whole way. 8 hours in the car is not Avery's idea of fun, but she did suprisingly well. The only bad thing is that Avery gets car sick she threw up about a half hour into the ride both ways and then when we were getting to Washington she threw up just as we were pulling up to the house... talk about timing.

Friends :)

There is this pretty new place here in Rexburg called The Craze and they have mini golf and laser tag and a bunch of arcade games. It's a pretty cool place. We all went and played laser tag and had a great time. It's way fun. We love hanging out with friends and it is so fun to have Brett's little brother and sister here in Rexburg with us so that we can hang out with them too. Family is so awesome.

Pumpkin Carving

Halloween is so much fun. Avery is a little monkey this year. Here is a sneak peek at her costume I might put more of Halloween after we have it, but doesn't she look so cute. Our friends Blake and Celeste came over and carved pumpkins with us and we got finger paints for Avery and let her make a mess. I think that she really liked it. After I showed her how to do it she started painting it on her own. it was cute and she got the paints all over herself as well as the pumpkin. In this top picture she was just so happy and screaming. It was so funny.

Big eyes and crazy hair
Look at my pretty painting job

Our finished pumpkins minus Celeste's and Blake's. Brett's is in the middle and mine is on the side. Celeste won scariest pumpkin... Blake's won the one with the most faces (he put a face on both sides)... Brett's won the cleanest insides and coolest face... mine won the lamest (mine wasn't very good this year, but I still had fun), and Avery's won the colorfulest.

FALL

We took Avery to the park to play in the leaves! At first she wasn't to sure about it and then she seemed to like it. She didn't want to get back in the car, she just wanted to walk around the park. Here are just some cute picture of her. It is so fun to have Avery and show her new things.

Birthday Dance

Avery has started dancing recently and it is so funny. Here is one I caught on camera. I could watch this all day. So cute!!! Sorry it is sideways but I had the camera turned that way and I can't rotate the video. But ENJOY!

Birthday Birthday come unto Earth day...

Avery had her first birthday on the 16th of October. I can not beleive she is a year already. Time really flies. She is so big and has learned so much. She walks great, she claps, she waves goodbye, she gets into everything, she makes all kinds of funny faces and always makes us laugh. She is gonna be running soon too I think; we will say "I'm gonna get you" and she will take off and sometimes she gets going to fast for herself and falls on her face but usually just laughs in that situation. Avery is such a joy to have in our life.

Her very own cake. It didn't turn out how I had planned but oh well she still liked it.
Opening her first present. She just pulled on the bow I had to unwrap it for her.
Excited to see what's inside

It's a book. Avery loves books! She brings them to us now and forces them into our lap so that we will read them to her. She loves to be read to.
A skirt I made Avery. I have become quite the seamstress since I was given my grandma's sewing machine... not really but I have sewed a skirt for cousin Mel and a baby blanket for one of our friends and now this skirt for Avery. I am so glad my mom taught me how to sew. That is something I plan on teaching Avery someday.
We also got Avery this Puppy. She loves puppies. It sings to her and talks to her and even says her name. Here she is showing her puppy some love. Thank you to all who came to Avery's party. She got lots of adorable clothes and fun toys.
Avery didn't like this party hat. She didn't even leave it on long enough to get one good picture.
I made a cut banner around her tray with my cricut that says one a whole bunch of times.
She didn't qutie now how to blow out the candle so I did it for her and wished what I'm sure she would have wanted me to... for a new baby brother or sister :) ... someday
The first taste... frosting... I think she liked it!

Diggin in!!!

She was such a mess. There was so much cake and frosting stuck between her fingers that she couldn't move them.
I'm done! It was yummy!
I love my little girl and I love being a mom!
Brett brought home this binky for Avery. It is so funny. So Brett's mom went and bought one for Trevor, her cousin so they could look funny together.

Snow!

I feel like I haven't blogged in forever. Our summer was so busy and full of fun stuff to blog. We are still very busy but we haven't done to many exciting things recently. I am just busy with school and Brett with work. Avery is just her happy fun little self. Brett has had a couple of baseball games and his team has been winning, so yeah for that. but anyways IT SNOWED! Avery saw snow last year but this year it is fun for her. Brett took her out to show her the snow and she reached out like she wanted to touch it but I think that she wasn't quite sure about it. We will have to take her sledding out at the sand dunes this winter. :)

Just for fun...
